How to Set Sneaker Price Alerts

SneakersBook price alerts notify you when a pair's estimated market value crosses a target you set. Open the pair, set a target above or below the current estimate, and you get a push notification the moment the estimate crosses it. Price alerts are a Pro feature and each alert fires once, so it is a signal, not spam.

Step by step

  1. Open a pair in your collection

Price alerts attach to individual pairs, so open the sneaker you want to watch.

  2. Set your target price

Choose a target above the current estimate (sell signal) or below it (buy-the-dip signal for pairs on your wishlist).

  3. Enable notifications

Allow push notifications for SneakersBook so the alert can reach you. You control all notification types in settings.

  4. Get notified when it crosses

When the pair's estimated market value crosses your target, you get one push notification. Re-arm the alert with a new target whenever you like.

How collectors use price alerts

The most common pattern is a sell threshold: set the alert at the number where you would let a pair go, then stop checking prices. If the estimate ever gets there, your phone tells you.

The second pattern is trend confirmation. Combined with price-history charts, an alert firing tells you a move is real rather than a blip, which is the moment to look at actual market listings.

One-shot by design

Each alert fires exactly once when the estimate crosses your target, then disarms. That keeps alerts meaningful: a notification from SneakersBook means a line you chose was crossed, not that a value wobbled.

Alerts are based on estimated market values from recent market data. Before selling, verify the price on your chosen platform, since estimates are reference points rather than guaranteed sale prices.

Frequently asked questions

Are price alerts free?
Price alerts are part of SneakersBook Pro, along with price-history charts, advanced analytics, and collection export. Estimated market values on each pair are free for everyone.
Will I get spammed with notifications?
No. Each alert fires once when the estimate crosses your target, then disarms until you set a new one. You can also disable any notification type in settings.
Can I set alerts on sneakers I don't own yet?
Add the pair to a wishlist-style collection and set an alert below the current estimate. You will be notified if the estimated value dips to your buy target.
